A Letter from one of our Soldiers…
“It is good to hear from everybody, with so many letters and creative pictures you all definitely kept me busy. I actually just finished reading them all… Anyway, I am glad that you took the time out to write these letters to me and also to wish me a Happy Birthday! It is hard to be away from home but it makes it much easier when we get letters from home. Things here in Iraq are getting hotter and hotter. We do work in a hardened building, but as soon as you step outside it feels like an oven. A real sandy oven! But you get used to it.
They feed us very well, which is good because I like to “get my grub on!” Food, mail and sleep are the three things we look forward to. I am sure that you kids can appreciate that – you’re probably thinking about what’s for lunch right now… pizza, snack packs, fruit roll ups…. I better stop. I’m making myself hungry. I do like my job; it is very rewarding. Unfortunately, I don’t get to ride in tanks very often but I have ridden in a helicopter. That was fun.
It is definitely a sacrifice to be living over here for a year, but it is well worth it to preserve the freedom that we enjoy in our country. Your prayers of support really do help to keep us safe and sound, so don’t stop. It may seem insignificant to you at times, but remember what the Bible says about you – It is the faith of a child that get us into the Kingdom of Heaven. So keep on excelling in all that you do and keep the Lord first in your life. Enjoy your summer break and thanks again.

Enrollment at BCS
We have great plans for next year! A new Math series will be used throughout the building, and we will be remodeling some classrooms. We’re also moving some of our early elementary classrooms to allow for varying class sizes. Please pray for wisdom in our planning for next year. We still have openings in our full day K program (age 5 by October 1st), as well as other grades.
If you have not re-enrolled for next year, please contact the school office. We cannot hold spaces without the enrollment form and deposit. The registration fee is $100.00 per student.
If you have a friend that may be interested in BCS for next year, we have brochures available in the school office that you could pass along to them. Please call and ask!
(As an added bonus – you receive a $250.00 credit for any family that enrolls a child in the school and is attending the following February. Any additional families are a $50.00 discount.)
