BCS Arts and Music Festival

Thank you for your support of our Arts and Music Festival on May 22! We had a filled auditorium, and a 90-minute program featuring all of our students! We would like to thank Sharon Lunsford, Ventrice Blackman, John Smith, and Shantael Clewis for their work with our students this year.

J. Kiely, an Enterprise photographer, was at our program taking pictures. One of them was on the front page of the Enterprise on May 23. Others were in the paper on different days, giving our school some publicity regarding our great music program!

Several parents have asked if anyone videotaped the program. If you did, and would be willing to let us make copies, please contact Mrs. Hodges at kihodges@brocktonchristian.com. Thank you!

Please note that instrumental lessons are over for the year. If you or your child would like to join the dance team, they will be meeting with the Trinity Team on Thursday nights from 6:30 – 8:00 PM. Please call Trinity Baptist at 508-588-4668 for more information.

Book Fair Information

Thank you for supporting the recent parent bookfair. We would like to thank Nancy Durang, Linda Hayes, Nancy Ferreira, Obi Cheretakis, and Desiree Boisvert-Hamm for helping run the fair. We sold over $1600.00 in books, which gives our school almost $850.00 in books for our classrooms and teachers! This will help in our novel based reading programs! Thank you!

PARENT SURVEY

Thank you to all the parents who returned the parent survey. At this point, we have received the surveys back from 42% of our students’ families.

Why did we do this? The survey will help us in our efforts for grant application and also the possibility of reducing our lunch costs to our families. Every family that sends back the survey will be assured of the utmost confidentiality. However, your efforts to help us will help YOUR child and family.

There is still time to return the survey. If you prefer NOT to participate please note that on the form. We are sending another copy home with your child if you did not return your copy to date. Thank you for your help in this effort.

End of the Year Information

Our Graduation and Closing Program will be held on Monday, June 12, at 7:00 PM.

Our last day of school will be on Friday, June 16. School will be dismissed at 11:00 AM, with NO AfterCare services available.

The Stanford Achievement tests (SATs) that were administered in April have been sent in to Harcourt Brace to be scored. We usually receive the scores in mid to late June. When we receive the scores, we will MAIL them to your house.

Library books must be returned or paid for before the last day of school. Any damaged text books will be assessed and payment due before the last day of school.

Final tuition statements were sent out last week. All accounts (tuition, AfterCare except for the last week, library, and other fees) should have been paid in full by June 1st. Report cards, SAT test scores, and final records cannot be released until all financial obligations are met. Graduating students must have all tuition and fees paid before graduation.

If you have any questions regarding your account, you may contact our treasurer, Debra Powell through the school office (12:45 – 2:30 PM) or email her at dapowell@brocktonchristian.com.
